About Me
I started yoga at 19, self taught from books. I didn't really practice much until middle age, when I began noticing how much joy, strength and confidence it gave me. I could trust yoga to magically untangle both the mind and the body. Even in just 15 minutes practice.
Now a teacher of yoga in my 60's, I want others to experience the benefits I feel from regularly getting on my mat to breathe and move mindfully. Yoga brings us into the here and now.

My Teaching Style & Training

All my classes are creative, friendly & challenging. I like to teach students how to understand their own bodies and develop their individual practice, so I move around during class making alignment cues and suggesting modifications. Everyone feels included, and the back of the class may become the front!
You don't have to be motivated or ready to practice, you just have to turn up!
My Teacher Training was through Ian Davis at Orange Yoga (Yoga Alliance RYS 500+ hrs), with a foundation in Ashtanga. I have also trained and practiced with Jock Orton, Anna Ashby, Joey Miles, David Swenson, Cindi Lee (meditation) and Susanne Lahusen, among others. I pick up ideas and ways to teach from these masters.
I teach in Wiltshire, Swindon and Gloucestershire, and I welcome men and women into my classes, of all ages. Get in touch if you need help finding a suitable class.
I also teach at Cricklade Leisure Centre.

Ashtanga Style
Ashtanga traditionally follows a set sequence, connecting the rhythm of the breath with a series of postures to build strength, flexibility, and focus. I offer a more flexible treatment in my classes, but with the reassurance of some repetition at each session. Work hard and see weekly progress. All Levels
Slow & Steady
A Hatha style practice that focuses on mindful movement and awareness, rather than speed or intensity. Slower transitions and fewer poses, coupled with the time to breath fully, makes this class beneficial to those seeking to improve mobility, balance, and inner calm. All Levels including mature beginners
Vinyasa Flow Yoga
A flow style practice which is absorbing to the mind and refreshing for the body. Including breathing techniques, classic postures, balances and creative transitions. Designed to build confidence, flexibility and strength. Often with a few challenges. All levels
