Julia Falcon Yoga

Yoga Classes for focus, fitness and feeling good

About Me

I started yoga at 19, self taught from books.  I didn't really practice much until middle age, when I began noticing how much joy, strength and confidence it gave me. I could trust yoga to magically untangle both the mind and the body. Even in just 15 minutes practice.

Now a teacher of yoga in my 60's, I want others to experience the benefits I feel. Yoga brings us into the here and now.

My Teaching Style & Training

julia falcon yoga class

All my classes are creative, friendly & challenging. I like to teach students how to understand their own bodies and develop their individual practice, so I move around during class making alignment cues and suggesting modifications. Everyone feels included, and the back of the class may become the front!

My Teacher Training was through Ian Davis at Orange Yoga (Yoga Alliance RYS 500+ hrs), with a foundation in Ashtanga. I have also trained and practiced with Jock Orton, Anna Ashby, Joey Miles, David Swenson, Cindi Lee (meditation) and Susanne Lahusen, among others. I pick up ideas and ways to teach from these masters.

I teach in a number of locations in Wiltshire and Gloucestershire and I welcome men and women into my classes, of all ages.

You don't have to be motivated or ready to practice, you just have to turn up!

Group Classes

Ashtanga Style

Ashtanga follows a set sequence, connecting the rhythm of the breath with a progressive series of postures to build strength, flexibility, and focus.

Slow & Steady

Hatha style practice that focuses on mindful movement and awareness rather than speed or intensity. Slower transitions and fewer poses, coupled with the breath, to improve mobility, balance, and inner calm

All Levels Yoga

A Vinyasa style practice including classic postures, breathing techniques, and creative transitions which build confidence, flexibility and strength for everyone. Includes challenges for the mind and body.
